Members gather for meetings every month, all year, plus lots of optional field trips around the Valley. When the heat rose above 110 degrees, “indoor field trips” were initiated. This summer, the members decided to participate in some do-it-yourself garden projects for fun and fellowship between meetings.
The Aug. 17 meeting will feature “The Elderberry Lady,” Heather Churney.
Elderberry syrup and tea is known to have medicinal properties to treat sinus infections, cold and flu, and allergy relief. It improves heart health and regulates blood sugar.
Members and guests will gather for socializing, refreshments, and welcoming visitors at 9:30 a.m., and the meeting will be called to order at 10 a.m. Visitors are welcome to attend and may be from any city with any level of experience. Members meet all year on the third Tuesday of every month.
