On March 27 more than 170 women gathered at Oakwood Country Club for a day of fashion, food, and fun. This year’s fundraiser for local charities featured fashions and accessories by Calle Rose Boutique, a delicious lunch, a bake sale by the congregation’s members, raffles, and huge gift baskets. Thanks to the SLJC Sisterhood for their contributions to neighborhood organizations serving our community.
The April meeting of the Sisterhood took place on April 20 in the Chapel Center. The guest speaker was Sherry Koopot from the Phoenix Art Museum. She presented “Sea to Shining Sea,” a beautiful look at our country and the artwork that was created as part of our land’s expansion.
Save the date of May 18 when we will have our paid-up members’ luncheon.
