Michael Berry
Michael Murdock is both the Duty Sergeant and the Sergeant-At-Arms for the Sun Lakes Company of the Arizona Rangers. In this role, he coordinates the duties and details scheduled for a very active company. He also ensures that the Ranger rules and bylaws are followed.
Michael is from California, grew up in St. Louis, and moved back to California at age 15. He moved to Arizona in 2018. Michael has been an Arizona Ranger for two years. His full-time job is working as a web developer.
Michael has always been interested in law enforcement, and after learning more about the Rangers, their history, and how they serve the community, he was ready to sign up. Volunteering with the Rangers has provided him with invaluable life experience. “It has pushed me to continue learning and doing things I never thought possible before. It is mentally and physically challenging, fun, and adds fulfillment to my life.”
Michael loves being able to support and assist the Sun Lakes community. He believes in the axiom, “Being good is commendable, but only when it is combined with doing good is it useful.”
In addition to his full-time job and volunteer activities, Michael is currently studying to become an EMT. He is also a competitive shooter, a car fanatic, and a movie buff. If you would like more information about the Arizona Rangers-Sun Lakes Company, contact them at [email protected].
