Pastor Don Hendricks
When I am asked what makes Sun Lakes Community Church special to our community, our members and guests, four areas come to mind.
Our teaching is centered on the truth of the Gospel, the grace of Jesus Christ and the relentless love of God. Our service is relaxed yet reverent. We celebrate the great hymns and choruses of the church, old and new, while still enjoying the classic sounds of organ and piano, along with our choir and solos.
Our heart for others means we support over a dozen ministries around the world and in Arizona that are independent, compassionate and committed to the great commission and helping so many people with special needs.
Our members and guests enjoy the wonderful fellowship at church, and after our service, we gather in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club for coffee and refreshments. During the year we have catered dinners along with entertainment that is open to all. To focus our hearts on the Gospel, we have weekly Bible study groups that offer lively discussion and help us in the application of these truths in our daily lives.
Our Chapel, located across the street from the Sun Lakes Country Club, is beautiful and functional and because we share it with other religious groups, we are free to share more of our budget each year with the missions we support. We also enjoy the use of the fellowship house located next door to the Chapel for meetings and functions. Our church office is nearby phone 895-9147; and we invite you to stop by for any information or assistance.
We invite you to visit us and see if you sense the joy of belonging to our unique non-denominational fellowship. Join us in the Sun Lakes Chapel where our service begins each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Lastly, we are having our pre-Thanksgiving service at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 to offer our prayers and thanks to our Lord for all our blessings.
