February 6 marked the kick off of a new program created by Sun Lakes residents to give back to our amazing firefighters. Residents volunteer to purchase, prepare and deliver dinner to firefighters. This is a once a year commitment and happens on the First Friday of each month. Carole cooked for Station Two and Jo Birlin prepared the meal for Station One. Food allergy and preference lists are provided as guidelines for the cooks in choosing and preparing the meal. Each month two residents, one for each station, volunteer to feed the firefighters.
