Jan Ott
As singers rehearse for their December 11 concert, another key participant in this group is putting forth her best efforts; namely, the Chorale’s long-time and treasured accompanist, Janice Manning. Possessing tenure which exceeds that of most of the key players in this successful group, she is essential to the emotional and musical communication between singers and Director Cris Evans. Chorale singers say that being a part of this group makes their heart happy; she is likely part of the reason.
Performing again at the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church at 9248 E. Riggs Road, doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. Traditional holiday favorites will be featured, along with an array of new composers and arrangers. The program will include soloists as well as instrumental accents including the percussion contributions of B. J. Van Noy.
Chorale members will receive concert tickets, available at $10 each, on November 7 and may be contacted by phone or email. Those wishing to send a stamped, self-addressed envelope may contact Carolyn Ellis at 480-883-6997 who will be accepting telephone orders until the week of the concert. Tickets will also be available at Ticket Tuesdays at Sun Lakes Ace Hardware from 10:00 a.m.-noon on November 18 and 25; and on December 2 and 9 (if tickets still available). Watch for signs and flyers which will be distributed within the community.
