The Sun Lakes Republican Club will feature “The Inside Scoop” with Mike Broomhead, KFYI Morning Talk Radio Host, at its monthly meeting Tuesday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Arizona Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd., Sun Lakes, AZ 85248. The public is invited! Please bring your neighbors and friends!

Mike Broomhead has been with KFYI since 2005. He uses his business and life experience to address the issues that Arizona citizens face today. Rooted in fiscal and social conservatism, Mike leaves no doubt where he stands on any issue. He fights for the freedoms of Americans and brings the hottest issues of the day to his listeners.

Broomhead initially made a name for himself speaking at the largest pro-troops rallies in the country. He was called upon to debate on both television and radio and is now a highly requested speaker around the country. Mike also had the privilege of being the master of ceremonies for two presidential visits in 2004, as well as being involved in the 2016 elections.

Mike is a strong believer in giving back to the community and volunteers his time for several organizations, including the Best Buddies program at Marcos de Niza High School, “Project We Remember” that supports military families, “Packages from Home” that is dedicated to U.S. servicemen and women overseas and Patriot Day Celebration that benefits Fighter Country Foundation.

Mike is the president of Broomhead Electric, LLC, and still maintains his contractor’s license in Arizona.

Prior to his radio career, Mike was a winning bull rider and rodeo announcer! He is the father of two daughters.

As a special program feature, Michele Trent of “Well-Remembered” will explain how our veterans can leave a legacy through participation in the Library of Congress Veteran’s History Project. Michele is a personal historian and an advocate for preserving memories and sharing them with future generations. Trent embarked on this new career after recording her own father’s memories, which are now a priceless gift for her family. Prior to beginning “Remembered Well,” Michele spent 25 years as a communications professional for various non-profit and for-profit companies. Michele is an accomplished speaker, corporate trainer and content creator. She is a member of the Int’l Practitioners of Personal Histories and Chats Toastmasters. Michele recently launched “Reminisce Roundtable,” an interactive story-sharing group for seniors.
