14th Annual Food Drive and Luminaria Walk was great success

The 14th Annual Food Drive & Luminaria Walk at Diamond Lake (Unit 36C) was a success! Our guests contributed 3,284 pounds of food and donated $1,454.00, which will provide approximately 3,500 meals! All proceeds were donated to AZCEND, aka “The Chandler Food Bank.” We also want to recognize Brian Quillen and his staff who helped by preparing the common area around Diamond Lake, created and printed the event flyer and signs and placed calendar entries and articles In The Loop. Last but not least, we owe a huge THANK YOU to the residents of Oakwood, Unit 36C, who were willing to decorate their homes, build and place 1,000 plus luminarias, bake goodies, wear costumes and greet our guests. We attribute our success to the Sun Lakes lifestyle, a community of caring neighbors and friends.
