2015 IWLN summer hottie! During our summer play from mid-May through September, the Ironwood Lady Niners take a break from more serious golf and prizes. We kick back and enjoy casual play where you can sign up your own pairings and choose your own game or play to develop your game. Of course, this is during our sultry summer when we play at 6:30 a.m. During these 16 weeks we have been naming the member who plays the most days during this time our “IWLN summer hottie.” Our 2015 summer hottie is Linda Liberti who played all 16 weeks. Linda, who is a very active and integral member of the IWLN, is our treasurer and a member of the pairings standing committee. She is a very dedicated golfer and plays every chance she gets. We salute her love for the game, her dedication to play, and her physical fitness in playing thru our sultry hot summer heat. President Jeanine Krause presented Linda a certificate to give her bragging rights plus a little something to put into her wallet.

Member/Guest Day: Wednesday, November 11 was our Membership Guest Day. A big welcome was extended to the guests who joined us for a round: Jan Bauer, Jo Brooks, Marcia Gardner, Ardyce Gibson, Janis Gustafson, Marilyn Jasper, Nancy Knott, Kitty Larson, Eileen Moberg, Diane Moore, and Betty Morgan. Bobbie Swanson joined us for the social. Following golf, the ladies gathered on the Ironwood Clubhouse patio for refreshments and social time. We hope they all enjoyed their day with us and will join our league. Many thanks to our members who organized the event: Denise Fleshner, Judy Thompson, Rachel Enloe, Linda Liberti and all of the ladies who contributed the wonderful refreshments.

Mark your calendars: Our next general meeting and brunch is at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9. Please plan to attend. The changing of the guard will take place as we install our officers for 2016 and present awards. December meetings are always fun and a great way to end the year and prepare for the new!

It is time to renew our membership for 2016. Annual dues for the Ironwood Lady Niners are payable by December 15 and are $65. Checks should be made out to Ironwood Lady Niners. Your check and membership application form should be placed in the Lady Niners drop box which is located in the Ironwood Clubhouse Computer Room. We also offer a social membership for $10. This membership is available to former and current members who can no longer play golf on our regular game schedule. There are dates identified on our calendar that will accommodate their play. Most important, they are welcome to attend all of our general meetings, brunches, and special events. Additionally, we offer a “HIN# Only for Women.” The cost this year is $40 (which includes the AWGA fee plus a $10 processing fee). We hope that all IWLN members rejoin and we look forward to a great year of golf in 2016.
