This year’s Diamond Lake Luminaria Walk out delights the yuletide revelers and out performs its charitable goals. Each year, with the help of the some of the IronOaks HOA maintenance crew and the overwhelming participation of 40 volunteers that set aside time to prepare and locate around 1000 lighted luminary bags that encompass the Oakwood’s Diamond Lake. Additionally, with the awesome support and participation of the homeowners surrounding the lake with their Christmas bountiful decorations and lighted displays we get the authentic sense of the Holiday Spirit. Beside the experience itself, the underlying purpose of the event is to collect canned goods and money for local charities. This year $803 in cash was collected and 2,020 of pounds of food which is given to a local food bank.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Luminaria Walk and Happy New Year from your appreciative IronOaks Unit 36C.
