Toni Corrigan
Sherrie Soria of Central Arizona College will be the speaker at AAUW Southeast Valley Branch meeting on Monday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ballroom of Oakwood Country Club of Sun Lakes. At CAC she is the Project Director for TRIO Student Support Services as well as our AAUW College/University Representative. Ms. Soria will address plans for future AAUW partnership development and involvement by our branch at the college. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York, College at Cortland in International Studies and French, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, where she is currently studying toward a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. She lives in San Tan Valley with her husband and three children.
In addition Cristal Severino, a CAC student awarded the AAUW-AZ Scholarship to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders at the University of Maryland last June, will share briefly about her experiences at the conference and how she will implement her learned skills. Ms. Severino is an Early Childhood Education major and will graduate in December.
