The Agave Quilters Guild of Sun Lakes is planning an exciting kick-off meeting for the 2019-2020 season. Join us at our general meeting on Wednesday, September 4, at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakwood Ballroom of the Oakwood Country Club. At the meeting, Agave will announce their new 2019-2020 officers and introduce new programs and plans for the coming year.
Some exciting news for the coming year! Our programs chair has worked diligently to invite and secure recognizable guest speakers. Each month, Agave Quilters will benefit from sources that are well known in the quilting world for their prominent skills and knowledge.
The special guest speaker for our September meeting is Raymond Steeve, one of the founders of 3 Dudes Quilting. Early in Raymond’s quilting journey, he discovered a simple, fun, and easy way to make quilts that he dubbed the “Let’s Strip It” method. The result was 20-plus original designs and patterns. He has toured with trunk shows and taught classes featuring the “Let’s Strip It” method. We are excited about the Trunk Show he will present at the general meeting. He will have products for purchase, and he will accept cash or a check – no credit cards accepted.
Returning members… keep working on your 24 inches by 24 inches President’s Challenge small quilt. Thank you to all who participate – beginners to advanced. Every year, we are amazed at the craftsmanship of our quilters.
See you on September 4!
