All about Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation

Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation, a long-established Reform congregation that is conveniently located in Sun Lakes, strives to meet the needs of all generations within the East Valley. What makes SLJC unique are our monthly services that blend beautiful and liturgy with meaningful prayer and rituals.

During our services on Friday night, May 10, we will observe Yom HaShoah, the Holocaust Remembrance Day, a commemoration of those who perished in the Holocaust. The service will also honor and celebrate mothers for Mother’s Day.

Our Adult Education Committee is also sponsoring a FREE film on Saturday, May 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. called GI Jews, a documentary about the role of Jewish soldiers in WWII. The film will be shown at Village of Ocotillo (northeast corner of Alma School Road and Ocotillo). Space is limited, so sign-up is required. Please contact Gail Dante at 480-802-1832 to reserve a seat.

Please plan to join us for our regular Friday night service on May 10 that starts at 7:00 p.m. During the summer months of June, July and August, special Twilight Services will start at 5:30 p.m.

From the Oneg Shabbat socials that immediately follow the monthly services to our intriguing and informative adult education courses and our many social and service organizations (including our Men’s Club, Sisterhood, Friends of Israel, Havurahs, movie clubs and much more), Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation offers a gamut of opportunities for all! Whether new to the area, a longtime resident of East Valley communities, looking for an opportunity to learn more about Judaism or reconnect with your heritage or roots or wanting to discover a nearby vital, active Jewish congregation, you will find the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation (SLJC) to be warm and welcoming!
