Glo Malmberg, Publicity

As Labor Day approaches and the summer nearly ends, the heat doesn’t ease up for a few more months in sunny Arizona. Of course, because of that, our golf cohorts will put off returning to the Valley until October or November; just in time for Oakwood Ladies Golf Association’s new season. The new season will start with a Scramble on November 3.

OLGA members would like to thank our Tournament Chair, Bev Lutes, for all her efforts throughout the heat of the summer. Bev volunteered to take over the position in January and learned the job quickly. During the summer, Bev selected games that were quick and fun, which didn’t keep us out on the course too long in the heat. Thanks, Bev, for keeping our play days running smoothly and getting our two shotguns out week after week.

OLGA-18 welcomes Roberta Havey and thanks her for joining OLGA; and, as a reminder, OLGA is accepting new members year-around. Please contact OLGA’s president, Barbara Dinardo at 480-802-7739 if you are interested in joining or would like additional information. You can also check out the organization by visiting olgagolf.org.
