Sun Lakes author R. H. Yocom will be signing copies of the novel Darkest Hour at the Coffee in the Community event to be held in the Arizona Room in the Sun Lakes Country Club on Tuesday, October 28 from 8:30-10:00 a.m.

If you like action/thriller genre fiction, you’ll love this book. It’s a brew of ancient Native American Shamanism and modern high technology in a battle against evil forces bent on destroying the USA’s economy. Starting with the explosion of a commercial jetliner over Orange County, California, this story follows FBI Agent Tony Alisone as he and a rag-tag team of investigators track down leads pointing toward a well-planned and disguised conspiracy, while the main FBI/HLS investigation chase threats of a WMD attack on Washington, D.C. The twists and turns in this novel will have you burning through the pages to see what’s going to happen next.

Here are just a few of the positive reader reviews of Darkest Hour:

“R. H. Yocom is the thriller genre’s best kept secret. Darkest Hour is wild and unpredictable, a brew of modern technology and ancient shamanic practices.”

“Good quick read. Fast paced from cover to cover. Native American spirituality adds an interesting twist to the plot and the wrap-up. Enjoyable book.”

“I could not put the book down! Action and tension! Very good. I am not into mysticism, per se, although I am curious about it and, thus, that drew me on to the end. I found the American Indian sections very informative. I was even deeply moved at certain points. I also appreciated the use of the last chapter/s for the explanation of American Indian beliefs. I thought that technique was very well done.”

R. H. Yocom resides in the Sun Lakes Country Club division with his wife Pamela. He has written and published two other books, an action/thriller novel called Ea$y Money and a self-help workbook called Prosperity Consciousness: Three Steps to Abundance. Copies of these books will also be available for purchase at this event.

Coffee in the Community is a monthly event that brings people together for coffee and refreshments, to get to know one-another and to casually view various vendors. The Sun Lakes Country Club is located at 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd., south of Riggs Road in Sun Lakes.
