Change your thinking, change your life Walk with a Doc program

Sue Schwartz

Is your lifestyle incompatible with your vision?

Are you thinking about a change?

The best tool for positive change in your life is your own mind.

Walk with different steps. Walk with a Doc on Dec. 14, where feet come first.

Discover the complexity of the human foot. It is a strong and complex mechanical structure. This structure contains 26 bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Keeping your feet healthy keeps you walking.

We will share a few walking tips, listen to a three- to five-minute talk by our health professional from Dignity Health Care, and do a simple warm-up. Then we are off to explore the PV Community. Our walks last about an hour and range from one to three miles. The distance is your decision.

Saturday, Dec. 14, Walk:

8:30 a.m. Registration at the PV tennis pavilion. (Online registration is available and encouraged. You can review and complete a waiver online in advance.)

9 a.m. Doc Walk

10 a.m. Breakfast on PV patio (Dutch treat)

Tom Brady walks the walk and talks the talk. Here are his simple suggestions to live a happier life:

1. When you wake up, consciously choose to take a positive outlook on the day ahead.

2. Putting your best effort into a task is a surefire way to grow, regardless of the outcome.

3. You may not have control over what happens, but you can always choose how you react.

4. You never truly lose. You either win, or you learn.
