Cheers celebrated the quarterly birthday party at Sun Lakes Country Club on September 21. Those who had birthdays in August, September and October were honored for their achievements in reaching the ages of ? Who cares about age anyway; we just have fun at Cheers with our events! Marjean Scheele and her great volunteers decorated the Navajo Room with a special Oktoberfest theme. Thanks for all you do for us!

The fine kitchen staff at Sun Lakes served a great brats and sauerkraut meal with all the trimmings. The traditional birthday cake and ice cream were served – nice! After dinner Ned Brockman entertained us with his trivia game which of course stumped most of us. Thanks Ned.

Cheers Singles is open to all single residents in Sun Lakes, Springfield, and SunBird. We have a social every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at the Oakwood Country Club in the lounge; come visit us and learn a little more about Cheers. We’re a fun group which has monthly events scheduled, both large and small group functions where you can meet people with shared interests. I’m sure you’ll find someone, or many who will enjoy your friendship!
