Reading groups are proving that good books bring people together. They foster growth and the love of literature. It’s the perfect time to come join our group. Cheers Book Club meets the first Tuesday of the month in the library at Oakwood at 7:00 p.m. We gather at 5:30 p.m. at the club for dinner before meeting in the library. Consider joining the club and enjoy the joy and pleasure of shared reading. Some of the books planned for their next several months are The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, The Female Persuasion and Before We Were Yours.

The Birthday Party on January 27 was great. We celebrated all those who had birthdays in November and December, 2018, and January, 2019. Next celebration will be in mid-April. It was a great evening. It always is.

Don’t forget “Cheers for Chandler Schools.” We are still collecting toiletries, snacks, socks, notebooks, pens and pencils and gift cards for those in need at the Chandler schools.
