Another successful spring concert was enjoyed by the public on March 24 when Cris Evans and her dedicated group of Sun Lakes singers offered beautiful vocal arrangements and inspiring accompaniments, along with talented soloists and small groups.

Using the theme “Music! Music! Music,” songs ranging from the nostalgic, the more serious and the upbeat (including a joyful ukulele group) effectively confirmed the message that musical communication is an essential link to our happiness. Why do these performers do it? Because they CAN, and because they KNOW people need it. This is their mission.

Are you thinking, regretfully, that this will be the last time you hear these singers until the 2017 Yule season? Not necessarily — a number of Sun Lakes Chorale members will soon be joining other community singers when the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church offers a special performance of “Faure’s Requiem” on May 12.
