Computer Booters

Kc Coller, Publicity Director

September 4 is the re-starting date following the summer break. The club has worked hard through the summer lining up interesting programs to present to its members.

As always, the club is inviting any new ideas from members to be included on its agenda. If there’s a new idea from one member, it’s sure to be of interest to others.

Volunteers are always welcome! Think about these two thoughts and see if you’ve got a bit of time that you would like to share with the club.

September’s guest speaker is Kasey Wemyss of Best Buy/Geek Squad. He will speak about considerations for buying a new home computer! As we know, computing is always changing, and this speaker will enlighten us of things we should know before shopping for that new computer. Hope to see you there!

Outlines for the month’s guest speakers are in place and ready to go. Being a club member has a big advantage over others, because they are able to attend any/all of the general meetings to hear these speakers tell about computers and many computer-related topics. These speakers personally bring us useful information without our having to sort through magazines or books looking for the answer to one of our personal computer dilemmas. The guest speakers are always welcoming questions from the attendees and gladly answer the incoming questions asked of them.

There will NOT be any workshops in September, but they will resume in October.

To see more information about the Computer Booters, go to the club’s website, www.computerbooters.org.

Meetings are held at the Sun Lakes Country Club Navajo Room at 25601 Sun Lakes Blvd., off Riggs Road. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., but should you come at 6:00 p.m., you will be able to share cookies and coffee with others while the meeting is being set up.

We’re anxiously looking forward to beginning this next session of workshops, presenters and activities to all the club members. We hope to see many of you at this first meeting.
