FIRST ONE THOUGHT: This is “Remember your Sweetie Month!”

January’s General Meeting presentation was spectacular with a full house audience of new, old and want-to-be owners of all types of e-readers. Maria Mucino, Regional Manager of the Maricopa County Library District and Tony Apodaca, Adult Services Manager of the County Library District, gave informative and interesting information on what owning a “library card” will allow you to do. They certainly added flavor to our meeting.

Having that card will permit more than downloading e-books to your chosen reader without any charge but it allows taking Gale Classes, downloading music, movies, periodicals and audio books. All for FREE! The library even offers Free e-reader Downloading Assistance every Wednesday from 2-3 pm. Please check with the Robson Branch Library for their Calendar of Events that are free and open to the public. I took advantage of this offer the very next day and found it to be friendly and rewarding.

Having lots of books with you during many of our modern day delays is a “good thing”.

The February 2 presenter is a returning friend of the club, Bob Gostischa, talking about “Protecting yourself, your computer, and your identity”. He’ll help simplify, clarify and demystify your computer, making being on the Internet safe, secure and enjoyable.

He’ll focus on normal computer users and clearly explain many everyday user topics.

There are many special classes you can sign up to attend during February.
