The meal, service and ballroom decor at our “25th Anniversary Cotillion Black and White Ball” held on January 9, 2019, were terrific. The band was simply wonderful; the Swingtips, led by Kregg Barentine, had everyone dancing. The horns and vocals were terrific! The Cotillion guests were dancing to the last song and wanted more. What a great way to start off the new year.

The Cotillion Dance Club wants to thank the Cottonwood banquet staff, especially Andy Warren, for the meal, decorations and services. We want to thank Oliver from Fred Astaire Dance Studios for leading our group dance lessons.

On March 9, 2019, we will be presenting “Emerald City Celtic Soiree” with the Messengers Show Band providing the music. The reception will feature champagne, imported and domestic cheese and crackers and the chef’s eggrolls with dipping sauce. The dinner menu will feature a salad of mixed spring greens served with ranch or golden Italian vinaigrette dressing on the side and warm rolls and butter. The entrée selections are beef burgundy with chef’s homestyle brown gravy served over egg noodle pasta or chicken Florentine with white wine sauce served with mashed potatoes, both served with spinach, artichoke and red roasted pepper medley, and carrot cake with cream cheese icing for dessert. The dietary meal is red snapper with puttanesca sauce, baked potato and spinach, artichoke and red roasted pepper medley, with flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Guests and members should RSVP via email, text, phone, mail or by using our website before March 2, 2019.

Next group dance lesson will be on Friday, March 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. Tony from Fred Astaire Dance Studio is scheduled to teach. This lesson will focus on the waltz.
