Desert Threads is excited about our December meeting, as it is a once-a-year holiday, Christmas. Our Holiday Party is planned with lots of games and beautiful quilt blocks that we have been working on all year. Everyone will bring three holiday quilt blocks to our meeting; one to exchange, one to put in the basket for a drawing, and one for the member to donate to our charity quilt or keep for themselves. After all the games and prizes, there will be one drawing, and one person will “win” all the blocks in the baskets. It will be a FUN time for all. Come join us.

We will also have a cookie exchange. Bring a box of a dozen cookies, and you can exchange cookies with everyone else. A wonderful holiday tradition.

Our meeting is on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 9:30 a.m. in the Arts and Crafts Room at Sun Lakes Country Club. Meetings are always the second Wednesday of each month. For more information, send an email to [email protected].

Mark your calendar for our January meeting, as we will be having a panel group of four longarm quilters who will have a presentation and can answer all your questions about how to get your quilt ready for the longarm quilting.
