Well, what better way to start a new year than with a great resolution: “Attend the Tuesday afternoon DAC gatherings with a great group of friendly and talented members and begin painting again or finish some of those paintings you have started.”

This is one resolution that will give your artistic life a real boost. It is easy to put off projects, but this one is “fun and rewarding.” So make it a priority for 2020. Start the decade with a commitment to do more of what you love.

January also brings our winter friends back to the Valley. We are excited to have you return. We still meet in the Ceramics Room (8-A) in Cottonwood each Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. We look forward to new people coming and joining our club. Remember, we are artists of all levels of talent and learning and work in watercolor, pastels, mixed media, charcoal, pencil, acrylic, and other media. Come and be supported in your endeavors and meet some new folks. Remember, no dues, no meetings, just fun creating in a supportive environment.

Remember, the Art at the Lakes Show and Sale is March 7 this year. If you want to display and sell your art, your application must be returned by Jan. 31, 2020. So come and work on your art on Tuesdays to be ready for the big day. Contact Diane Hitt at 480-802-7080 for information and questions regarding the application and requirements for the juried show.

We will be planning a casual social gathering to start the new year, so come join us, starting NOW. Say YES to your inner artist, and all of you who have been thinking of joining, just come and make it a priority. You will be glad you did.

For further information, contact Sue Sindelar at 480-745-2198. Please leave a message if I am unable to answer. You may also email me at [email protected] or come and see what we are creating. We love having people stop by for a visit.
