Dolly Dressers continues its good work with a donation of 11 Barbies, seven car carriers with Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars, seven 18-inch dolls, eight baby dolls, five Cabbage Patch dolls, and 10 journals. All these items were packaged with accessories to make them special for a child and were donated to Child Help in February.

At our March meeting, we continued to sort donations, clean and dress dolls of all kinds, and package cars with car carriers and will report on that final donation next month. It is amazing how much is accomplished in two hours with the help of nine dedicated volunteers at the meeting.

At our April meeting, we will package Easter bags, so we welcome donations of Easter candy in addition to our ongoing needs of 18-inch dolls, books in excellent condition, and small toys such as Beanie Babies, etc. Donations may be dropped off at the Sewing Room of the Oakwood Arts & Crafts building.

Dolly Dressers & More is a charity special interest group of the Sun Lakes Sew-N-Sews. We meet monthly on the first Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Oakwood Sewing Room.
