Crafting Together Series

Join us for a unique craft! Each session provides an opportunity to create something new. Learn a new activity while you engage with the community, relax, and have fun. All skill levels are welcome, and all materials are provided as we enjoy crafting together!

Recipe Swap

Join us once a month to share and swap recipes! Share stories about your favorite recipes. Participants will be provided with a Robson recipe book where you can add the new recipes you receive. Please bring a copy of the recipe you want to share so we can create and pass out copies.

Writing Workshop: The Conversation I Wish I Could Have
Aug. 14 at 10 a.m.
There are moments in our lives when we wish to converse with an ancestor who is no longer alive. In this workshop, we will write questions we would like to have with an ancestor. Some may even take the next step and invent a dialog with that person. For example, it could be a conversation with an ancestor who immigrated to the United States in the 1800s.

The Ed Robson Film Society is a new program series based around watching and discussing relevant and important films from around the world. This month’s film will be Cat Daddies (2022). Following the screening, we will have a book club-style discussion based around the film.

PHX JAZZ: The Music of Miles Davis

PHX JAZZ will be showcasing the music of Miles Davis. The quartet, led by performer and educator Keith Kelly, will perform an hour of music as well as discussion surrounding the cultural context of the genre.

Sound Meditation
Aug. 20
Two sessions starting at 1 p.m. and 1:40 p.m.
Sound has been used as a meditative tool around the world for thousands of years. In these sessions, we will experience the calming and restorative effects of crystal singing bowls, rainsticks, and melodically tuned chimes. Participants will leave with a renewed sense of inner stillness, ease, and presence. Sessions are 1 to 1:30 p.m. or 1:40 to 2:10 p.m. Please sign up for only one session.

Teachin’ Tech

Teachin’ Tech is a monthly class that teaches you how to use and operate computers, tablets, or other digital devices! Each session will cover a topic such as how to navigate the web, how to sign up for an email, or how to stay safe online.
