First Baptist Church Sun Lakes (FBCSL) men’s Best Blessed Breakfast (BBB) hunt begins on an ominous note this September. Never before has the safari taken on such dangerous territory, or so the rumors go. Treacherous rivers of gravy impede every move made by the team. The men must scramble up mountains and trek through foreign countries. Bring your Armor of God, gentlemen. You’re going to need it to survive. A smart tactical move would be to bring along a buddy.
This month’s breakfast is going to be at Biscuits, located at 9542 E. Riggs Road in Sun Lakes, on Saturday, Sept. 14. The starting time is 8 a.m. if you survive the pitfalls of this expedition.
You and your buddy need to work in tandem to sneak through a meat-eating cannibal village. The next leg of your journey passes between warring tribes. Can you avoid their “spam” and stay neutral? Do you have any foreign ambassador skills? You will be passing through foreign lands, so brush up on your Spanish. All of that, of course, is dependent upon whether you survived the aforementioned rivers’ rapids or you haven’t succumbed to the extreme desert heat, or the rumors say.
Trust no one on this voyage! There is a Benedict Arnold among the travelers, lurking, hoping to throw temptation your way. Even Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness (Matthew 4:1). If you have survived this far, be aware of wild pigs with tusks as sharp as razors. Keep your spears sharpened and your eyes on the prey.
If you survive this safari, you’ll be a hungry man! Which of these dangerous hurdles is your favorite? What will you choose? It will all be waiting for the FBCSL men and friends on Saturday, Sept. 14. Biscuits Restaurant on Riggs Road will have a menu of incredible edibles to navigate, according to rumor. Don’t be late—8 a.m.!
