Financial Crimes Awareness Seminar

The Financial Crimes Unit of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office will be presenting a Financial Crimes Awareness Seminar at St. Steven’s Catholic Church, located at 24827 S. Dobson Road in Sun Lakes, on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The presentation is titled “Financial Crimes Awareness—An Overview of Common Frauds and Scams.” The presentation reviews how to identify and protect yourself from common frauds and scams. Special agents from the Social Security Administration will also attend the seminar to help answer questions. This informational seminar is free to attend, and no advance registration is required.

The Financial Crimes Unit is making outreach to the community a greater priority in an attempt to educate and get ahead of people falling victim to scams and fraud.
