The Five Unity Principles

Kay Davis

In September, schools are starting their new semesters. What a perfect time to renew the basic tenets we at Unity church hold to be true. Reverend Debbi will be teaching and highlighting this set of Principles written down by Connie Bazzy Fillmore, the great granddaughter of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, founders of Unity, in her Sunday lessons in September. They are 1) God is all good and active in everything and is present everywhere; 2) I’m naturally good as God’s divinity is in me and in everyone; 3) I create my experiences by what I choose to think, feel and believe; 4) Through affirmative prayer and meditation I connect with God and bring out the good in my life; and 5) I do and give my best by living the truth I know. I make a difference. These Principles act as a roadmap to living the life of abundance of which Jesus spoke. May you have life and have it more abundantly.
