We are going to have some fun with an outdoor Game Day event at Sisk Park in early April. It’ll be one of our first opportunities to get together with others in a more relaxed environment from the recent norm. We’ll be playing bocce ball on four courts, golf (putting) on a beautiful 9-hole course, bean bags, bedpan relay race, and a couple of others. Games will be played on a friendly basis and will be non-competitive, with some prizes awarded for simply playing the game. We will wrap up the day with a tasty meal and refreshments. This is a members-only event, with 50 people maximum and social distancing. Masks are required in accordance with HOA guidelines.

By the president, Ray Texeira: The Fun Lakers Social Club of Sun Lakes services those residents of Cottonwood, Ironwood, Oakwood, Palo Verde, SunBird, and Sun Lakes Country Club. Our mission is to create and foster camaraderie and fellowship of the Sun Lakes Fun Lakers community by coordinating social activities for the enjoyment of the memberships. As we learn, sort, and comply with the moving and challenging restrictions of COVID, we have a number of exciting events evolving and planned for the year.
