This is sort of a “Catch 22” type of article and I will explain that. Some of you will receive the Splash before the very end of October. And some will not receive it until a day or two into November. So I am going to cover all of my bases if I can.
For those of you who will receive the paper at the end of October I will say, “drop everything and come on over to Sun Lakes Club House.” You don’t want to waste a minute because the biggest event of the year is in progress—the Bazaar!
Our date is October 30 from noon-5:00 p.m. through November 2, from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with Friday and Saturday hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. This is like walking into a mall! On Wednesday, outdoor items (furniture, etc.) may be ready for sale by noon but no inside areas will be open. We have everything you can imagine and more. For those who enjoy raffles, we have plenty of them and we close this event with a raffle of a new golf cart which is parked in the clubhouse lobby. Don’t worry about eating either since we have special lunches available along with a bake sale.
On the other side of the coin those who receive this paper on the first of November may have either attended or missed this wonderful time of fun and raffles. For all of you the Women’s Association wishes to thank you for your participation in this event. It would not have been possible without you! You give us your marvelous support all year long in one way or another. As you know, every single penny we earn goes back into the needs of Sun Lakes Country Club; Cottonwood/Palo Verde; Ironoaks/Ironwood; including our Fire Department and Neighbors Who Care. Last month we were able to help out the Sun Lakes Fire Department and the Sun Lakes Anglers Club. This is “your donations (dollars) in action”!
Now we are starting over for next year’s bazaar and asking for donations of household items in good condition. If you wish to either donate or purchase (year round) then please call 480-895-9270, ext. 220 and someone will be in touch with you. Any lady living in the Sun Lakes community is welcome to join us on Mondays in the Arts and Crafts Room in Sun Lakes Country Club clubhouse from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Hope to see you soon.
