The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will again be available at Sun Lakes. It will be open on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to noon starting on February 2, 2018. The preparation will be in the Sun Lakes Posse building at 9531 E. Riggs Road.

Returns will be scheduled by appointment. You will need to visit or call the Administration Services counter at Sun Lakes Country Club to schedule an appointment. They can be reached at 480-895-9270, Ext. 111. The scheduled times will be 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and noon.

Both federal and state returns will be filed electronically. If filing jointly, both spouses must sign the return.

Bring the following documents with you: Picture ID, Form SSA-1099 Social Security Benefit Statement (or social security card), proof of all incomes, such as 1099-R forms, W-2 forms, Interest and Dividend 1099 forms, self-employment records, etc. Also bring along prior year tax returns for federal and state, if available. If you want any refund to be directly deposited to your account, bring a blank check so we can accurately get your bank routing number and your account number.

We do not prepare tax forms that include house/home rentals, married filing separately, non-deductible IRAs, nor casualty and theft losses.
