Happy New Year with Reiki

Catharina Cupples

2015 – A new beginning of a New Year, and I wish you a year of good health and well-being.

An excellent way to help maintain your own wellness is through Reiki, which is a system for the laying-on-of hands. Everyone has the capacity to allow healing energy to come through them.

Reiki is pronounced Ray-Key, and it means ‘universal life force’ energy.

This life force energy is known by many names in all cultures. In Christian terminology it is known as the healing power of the love of God. In Hebrew it is called Yesod. A Native American name for it is Wakan Tanka. Russian scientists refer to it as bioCosmic energy. It is referred to by many more names. Whatever we may call it, its healing properties are the same.

Reiki feels deeply relaxing and comforting. It assists the body’s natural healing processes, helping restore normalcy, balance and order.

You can come to the Reiki Circle to experience what that life force energy feels like every Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. in Room A-2 in the Cottonwood Courtyard. Everyone is welcome. Reiki practitioners are available to give you a brief Reiki session. There is no fee.

The Reiki Circle members wish each and every one a healthy and joyful 2015.
