New IMGA Executive Board – We congratulate (and thank) our newly-elected board for 2019: Joe D’Amore, president; Tom Hewitt, vice president; Ross Serold, secretary; and Dan Jonker, treasurer. This is Dan’s eighth year as treasurer! Wow! Thanks, Dan!

Retiring – After 21 years of volunteering with IMGA in many different capacities, Don Dinkleman is retiring and the “prize committee torch” is being passed to Rich Pavlak. Thank you, Don, for your many years of faithful service to IMGA… and for making the club a better place to play. And thank you, Rich, for being willing to step up and assume responsibility.

Finances – Our Treasurer Dan Jonker reports that the club is in good shape financially and notes that we have not increased our annual membership dues for the past 10 years!

Greens and Grounds – Bill Ranney, our Greens and Ground Committee Chairman, expressed our appreciation for the excellent job the Greens and Ground crew is doing by buying them breakfast on our behalf. It was much appreciated by them.

Membership – Roger Jones, our AGA Liaison, reports that we have 272 members in IMGA, 236 of whom are active. Please welcome the 18 new members when you see them on the course.

Tournaments – Dan Smith, Tournament Director, suggested that we add a category of Super Senior 80+ to the Club Championship. The board voted and approved this resolution unanimously. So, we’ll have two Senior Championships in the upcoming tournament in February and March: Super Senior 75 and Super Senior 80.

2019 Rule Changes – John Davis, Rules Chairman, has posted the 2019 Rule Changes on our website under the “Info & Docs” tab. They are significant and are in effect! The “stroke and distance” rule is in effect. Be sure to take advantage of it when appropriate.

Food – Al McCormick, Food and Beverage Chair, is busy working out the details (and negotiating the best price) for our upcoming Member/Guest tournament. It promises to be a fun event!
