Temple Havurat Emet and the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church will hold an Interfaith Havdalah event on December 20 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church social hall at 9428 E. Riggs Rd., Sun Lakes, AZ. A brief Havdalah service (all in English) will open the event. Havdalah is a service ending the Sabbath.

After this, Reverend Noni Porter, associate pastor, and Reverend Jim O’Neil, senior pastor, will speak about how Christians see Jews and Judaism. Following their presentations, Murray Siegel will talk about how Jews view Christians and Christianity. After that there will be a time for discussions among all folks in attendance.

Light refreshments will be served.
