IronOaks Tennis Club welcomes Jenny Browne. Jenny will hold the position of Racquet Activities Coordinator. She is excited to build great relationships with the members by planning and promoting events, clinics and assisting with tournament organization. Please check the Fitness Center for her office hours.

Tennis has been a large part of her life. She was the Tennis Program Director for the town of Victor Summer Recreation program for four years in New York. Within one year of graduating from college, she was tired of the northeast winters and made her way to Phoenix to start her career in the sports club industry. She has held positions as Assistant Athletic Director, Sports Events Coordinator, Tournament Promoter and Swim Team Operator.

In March, our annual Jason Morton USTA Tournament was held. Our members did very well at this Sectional Level Two USTA event. There were cash prizes, plus the event awarded double ranking points and national ranking points. It was great tennis to watch and we congratulate all of our members who gave us great points to watch.

For the final standings, in the Men’s 70 Doubles final, Tom Snider and Mike Kroelinger came in first, over John Radcliffe and Dave Elmore at 6-4, 6-3. Mike Corey and Tim Shum won the Men’s 55 Consolation Doubles 6-0, 6-0. In Men’s 65 Doubles, Jerry Rex and Dale Erhbright won the final 7-6, 6-3. For Men’s 75 singles, Jack Sanders won the final at 6-3, 7-6.
