Come join the fun at our evenings together. Wine tasting, fine/fun dining, Thursday socials, cards and movies are part of our activities at Cheers.

Our Wine Tasting is every month on the second Wednesday of the month. Our host or hostess organizes the party at their home. This is a very popular event. The number of members present is usually somewhere around 30. The cost to each member is $5.00 to cover the wine, and each member brings an appetizer. The food is always yummy.

Fine/Fun Dining is a great way to discover the excellent restaurants in our area and enjoy the friendship of our members. Fine/Fun Dining dates may vary. The host or hostess of the evening selects the restaurant and makes the reservation with the restaurant. This is necessary, as the group can be 15 or more, and it is necessary for the restaurant to be able to accommodate the group.

The Book Club meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Oakwood Library. Come early and join the group at 5:30 p.m. for dinner. Hand and Foot is the third Wednesday of the month in the Bradford Room at Oakwood at 6:00 p.m. It is a fun and easy game and a good time to socialize.

The movie group enjoys movies that are very good and current. Meet them at Optum Care at Alma School and Chandler Heights about 12:30 p.m. every Wednesday (show time 1:00 p.m.).

Best of all is the Thursday Social Hour. Come and enjoy every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at Pool Side Cafe at Oakwood.

Mary Ellen has Cheers tables of 10 at some of the Oakwood concert series. Be sure to check with her at the Thursday social hour for show schedule and tickets. Richard is busy at the Social Hour on Thursdays to help you plan your next trip. He has many to choose from and enjoy.
