We support the fishing activities by sponsoring a flea market in the SLCC parking lot on the third Saturday of the month. The official hours are 6:00-10:00 a.m. but you might find some real bargains as the vendors shut down. If you would like to have a vendor’s spot stop by the SLCC desk and signup. The fee is $5. The Anglers offerings come from donations. Don Herring is available to arrange drop off or pick up by calling 480-802-9320. Small items are great but clothes don’t do well. We also receive support from a number of local businesses and clubs.

The Anglers will start the derbies again in March. The last fishing day in the spring is the ever popular Grandparents Derby. The Grandparent’s Derby will be on April 4. This is the Saturday before Easter. Grandparents in all of Sun Lakes are invited to bring their grandchildren. A homeowner’s card will get you registered and the club furnishes all the equipment and bait if you do not have your own. There will be many prizes. Our members are also available for some help getting started as needed.

We meet on the first Tuesday of the month in the Mirror Room of Sun Lakes Country Club at 7:00 p.m. New members are welcome and like all clubs needed. You will find putting a smile on a youngster’s face a rewarding experience.
