Yes, Readers, we know this phrase is just a lovely dream when people live in Arizona, but isn’t this season of joy the perfect time for making wishes and having faith? Sun Lakes Chorale members have planned a special holiday concert and invite you and your family to hear this particular song and other memorable melodies. Male and female voices, solos, instrumental accompaniments and inspiring harmonies are their gift to the community.

Welcome the holiday spirit and join the Chorale on Thursday, December 11 at the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church. The location is at 9248 E. Riggs Road, and the concert begins at 7:00 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. This popular event will be the perfect way to usher in the season, offering a program that offers variety as well as the talents of your friends and neighbors.

Tickets are priced at $10 and are available from Chorale members as well as at Sun Lakes Ace Hardware’s Ticket Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m.-noon on December 2 and 9 (as long as tickets are available). Mail orders may be arranged by calling Carolyn Ellis at 480-883-6997, who will accept telephone orders until the week of the concert. Learn more about the Chorale including information about their spring concert by visiting their website at www.sunlakeschorale.com.

What other songs will be presented? After the dramatic Gloria Fanfare opener, listeners can look forward to The First Noel, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Home for the Holidays. Chorale members also enjoy sharing the jolly and boisterous Good Ale, in striking contrast to the soft and touching There Will Be Rest.

The evening’s program is intended to offer something for everyone, hopefully bringing joy, peace and happiness through the music of the season (and maybe memories of times past, possibly including that delightful fluffy white stuff)?
