Life Long Learning Open House registration for summer classes

Catherine Hammond

New Adventures hosts its annual summer open house registration on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. This event provides the first opportunity for both members and anyone interested in becoming a member to sign up for a wide variety of lifelong-learning classes. Classrooms in the Sun Lakes Center of Chandler-Gilbert Community College, 25105 S. Alma School Road, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248, are comfortable and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. At the northeast corner of Riggs Road and Alma School Road, the facility provides plenty of parking with easy access to the building.

Early registration continues until May 18 and is a good idea. Many classes fill up fast. However, registration remains open all semester for classes that still have space. In early May, current members will receive summer information packets by mail. Find the current curriculum guide with class descriptions, dates and times at www.newadventures.info.

“As they do throughout the year, New Adventures’ Curriculum Committee has pulled together an interesting range of topics for our summer semester,” said Wayne Wright, the organization’s president.

Some of the classes being offered this summer include the following:

An all-volunteer membership organization, New Adventures in Learning is affiliated with the Chandler-Gilbert Community College and is a great value. Annual dues are $50 a year. Become a member for the summer semester and receive an extra semester in your annual membership. Add an additional $15 college registration fee each semester you enroll in one class or more.
