Even when you are enjoying yourself, dancing and having fun, you need a break. We won’t be dancing the month of August. The biggest reason is the refinishing of the beautiful SunBird Ballroom dance floor. We want to thank Joe Anderson and his crew for their expertise in this process. We have a wonderful parquet wooden floor that is not too sticky or too slick. They know what they are doing. This is appreciated and crucial to enjoy safe dancing.

Line Dancing with Judee will restart on Saturday, September 6 in the upstairs Navajo Room in SunBird Clubhouse and in the Ballroom at SunBird on Monday, September 8.

Please note there is a class on Saturdays in the Navajo Room for those who have called and work during the week and couldn’t come on Mondays. Ultra Basics for dancers just starting will be on Saturdays from 2:00-4:00 p.m.; the cost is $3. Classes will also be on Mondays in the SunBird Ballroom from 1:00-3:00 p.m. if your schedule allows; the cost is $3. It gets easier and faster if you can attend both classes. If you are new to any classes, please call Judee at 480-802-0201 after 10:00 a.m. to register.

Ultra Basics a prerequisite to the Basics Plus classes also on Saturdays and Mondays. Ultra Basics class is a foundation of learning line dancing. You will dance easy dances, learn the steps and patterns and learn to “place” yourself for the next move which makes it easier to learn the dance and easier on the body. There is also a free Steps and Patterns class given to the students usually once a month.
