Mardi Gras Nite offers fun at Sun Lakes

An evening of fun, good food and music is in store for Sun Lakes residents when Assistance League of East Valley presents their Mardi Gras Nite fundraiser on Saturday, February 24, at 6:00 p.m. at Oakwood Country Club at IronOaks, 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd., in Sun Lakes.

The ballroom will come alive with casino-style gaming, bingo, a live band, live and silent auctions and a sumptuous roast beef and turkey buffet. A $75 registration fee will gain entrance, along with a bag and beads, game chips, free drink, and dinner. Some guests have already been brushing up on their skills using online casinos and making use of the No Deposit Bonus Codes. Some have already been lucky enough to generate some winnings!

Professional and sponsor dealers will entertain at casino-style blackjack, roulette, and craps tables, with guests using their chips to play along. Prizes will go to the top four chip winners. To keep your good luck rolling once the evening has come to an end, why don’t you earn some money prizes by deciding to play these new microgaming games on the internet? Who knows, maybe you will big. In the meantime, there will be plenty of different activities on the show during the evening for everyone to enjoy. A bingo room will hold games throughout the evening so that attendees can play all night, and the winning bingo cards receive gift cards.

Michael Pollack of Michael A. Pollack Real Estate Investments is the title sponsor for the event. He and Krystle Henderson, 12 News Traffic and Weather Anchor/Reporter, will co-host the evening and help conduct the live auction.

Tickets for the event will be on sale by Assistance League members at a table outside the Stone & Barrel restaurant, with sale dates posted on the nearby bulletin board. Reservations also may be made online at the organization’s website, www.assistanceleagueeastvalley.org, or by mail at their thrift shop, 2326 N. Alma School Road, Chandler, AZ 85224.

In addition to casino-style gaming, guests may dance to a live band or participate in a wine pull, a 50/50 board, a silent auction including authentic sports and patriotic memorabilia or an exciting live auction.

Auction items include one week at an international condo at a location of the winner’s choice, a long weekend at a 60-acre ranch in Happy Jack, Gammage tickets with dinner, Phoenix Suns tickets, a round of golf and lunch and an art workshop. The Chandler Fire Department also is offering a firehouse lunch, tour and ride-along on a call.

Assistance League of East Valley is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization recognized for its work with East Valley schools and agencies providing for children and adults in need. They provide new school clothing and uniforms to almost 7,500 children each year, as well as 12 college scholarships and about 4,000 clothing and hygiene kits for victims of assault or crisis.

Sponsorships for Mardi Gras Nite are needed in any amount from $50 to $5,000. Individuals or companies may choose to reserve a dining table or sponsor a gaming table, placing information about their company at the table if they wish. All sponsors are given the opportunity to be included in event publications. For more information about sponsorships, email Mary Louise Landsbarkis at [email protected].

Additional funding for the efforts of Assistance League of East Valley comes from proceeds at their thrift shop, an upscale outlet at 2326 N. Alma School Road, Chandler, just north of Warner.
