The resumption of league play in June was a welcome relief to all of the Men’s Oakwood Golf Association (MOGA) members. Dan Muth has done a great job of adapting the weekly events to tee times in place of the normal shotgun starts to comply with the social distancing requirements. Participation has increased with the large number of our members who have postponed their trips for the summer. Dan also increased the tournament payouts and the number of free beverage days to make up for our missed play in the spring. The June and July events have provided many opportunities to get out and have fun and meet some great people during these difficult times. If you haven’t had a chance yet, come join us in August.

Aug. 6 – ABCD Step Aside Scramble – 7 a.m. start/9 a.m. start
Aug. 13 – Best Ball by Flight – 7 a.m. start/9 a.m. start
Aug. 20 – ABCD 3 Club Monte – 7 a.m. start/9 a.m. start
Aug. 27 – Individual Low net by Flight – 7 a.m. start/9 a.m. start

New Board Member: We are pleased to announce that Ken Gaylord is the new MOGA treasurer. We really appreciate Ken stepping up to take over the financial responsibilities of MOGA.
Getting to know… MOGA!
We need volunteers who want to share their story with other MOGA members and the community! If you are a MOGA member and are interested in sharing your personal bio, we would love nothing more than share your information with our membership! You can provide the following to [email protected]: name, spouse’s name, children, grandchildren, where you are originally from, how long you have been a member of MOGA, your handicap, hobbies, past professions, etc. If you provide the basics, we can write the article and obtain your approval to publish! Let’s learn more about the amazing members of our MOGA group!
