I am sad to report the passing of Neil Siegel on December 28, 2015, one of our senior members of MOGA. Neil was born and raised in Coney Island, New York on January 2, 1940. He married Barbara in 1966 and they moved to AZ in 1996. I always enjoyed riding with him, especially when he would talk about his days driving in the “big city.” Yes, and he usually beat me at the game! Neil was a pleasure to play with and we’ll miss his New York accent on and off the course.

The MOGA Board of Directors has determined that in order to more closely meet the Association Charter and due to an increase in membership and tournament functions, there is a need to increase the number of committee chairmen. The positions that need to be filled are Handicap Chairman, Food and Beverage, Awards, Rules and Member Orientation Chairman. If you would like to be considered for one of these appointed positions please contact President TJ Jones at 602 909 5406.

The MOGA President’s Cup (free) is scheduled for February 4, 6 and 11. Note, this is a Thursday, Saturday, Thursday event.

On February 25 (afternoon only) the Member/Guest will be played. (Fee is $75 and includes lunch and awards).

March 3, 5 and 10 (afternoon only) the MOGA Club Championship (free) will be held. The 5th is a Saturday.

As a reminder: On the third Thursday of each month, following morning and afternoon play, drinks are provided by MOGA at the Pro Shop in appreciation for your membership.
