President’s Message

On Monday, October 24, the Board held a workshop to discuss the plans and future for Poolside. It was the consensus of opinion by the Board and based on the comments from homeowners that the concept using this beautiful facility as a much-needed activities center is a good and productive idea. In summary:

It will provide space for the many homeowners for cards and/or games.

It will have a positive effect on the food and beverage deficit issue.

It will be available for special evening events, meetings, or activities not available at Oakwood.

Poolside will be closed for several weeks in order to clean and make the necessary improvements to the layout.

The kitchen will be closed and Poolside will no longer be a full service restaurant. However, the possibility of limited food and beverage is under discussion. The bar will remain and be available based on the final services to be provided.

We have asked Trish and Brian to prepare recommendations and more detail so that we may prepare a Change of Use which will provide a means of homeowner input.

We have a pretty full agenda for today, so am going to keep my message short and allow Trish and Brian bring everyone up to date.

The last thing is my monthly reminder concerning the upcoming Board election. Think about it. Talk to your neighbors and friends.

December activities

Friday, December 9 at 5:00 p.m. – Friday Night Dance Party, Oakwood Ballroom

Thursday, December 15 at 5:30 p.m. – Paint Party at Poolside

Every Monday – Monday Night Football at Ironwood; football boards with quarterly payouts, happy hour specials for both food and beverages

Every Sunday – NFL Football at Ironwood. Doors open at 10:00 a.m.

Team Trivia every Wednesday and Thursday at Ironwood from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Full menu available.

Texas Hold ‘Em at Ironwood on Tuesdays from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Prizes given away; start with 2,000 free chips and win the pot.

Tickets are still available for some of the Billboard Series Shows. Call 480-895-7275 for further information or to purchase tickets.

The Stone and Barrel is open seven days a week for breakfast lunch and dinner. The hours are Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Come enjoy the food, have a beverage and watch the sunset on the patio. Entertainment on the weekends.
