Most of our members are back now and we are settling in for the season – and a busy one it is! Each Friday we meet in the Arts and Crafts Room at Oakwood to paint. We show off our work a little and gab a lot, but we mostly paint. It is very interesting to see what everyone is doing. Our artists paint with watercolor, oils, acrylics, pen and ink, colored pencil, pastel and graphite. Some artists create in paper and scratchboard. Whatever the media, we all have fun!

Since our last reporting, we have had the Small World Show. Many of our artists sold their work. This has always been a wonderful way for people to buy affordable art, either for themselves or for gift-giving.

Who knew you could make your own paper? We had a guest instructor, Nancy N., come to our league and show how to do just that! It was quite a popular class.

Our annual Holiday Party and voting for new officers will be on the December 5. Watch the bulletin board for detail of time and place.

Members should not forget that our general membership meetings are usually on the second Wednesday of each month.
