Oakwood Ladies Golf Association (OLGA) 18-hole league is always open to new members. Come join our ever-growing organization. Margo Lindsey is our latest addition and we welcome her. We know ladies have choices as to where they join and OLGA appreciates every member.

As 2014 comes to a close, it is important for current members to renew their annual membership before December 15. The 2015 membership fee is $85, which includes handicap and hole-in-one fees. There is a $5 fee for renewals after December 15, so sign up early.

The important events scheduled in January are the charity event on January 20 and the first of four State Medallion tournaments on January 27th.

Eddy Renio, Director of Golf, said the Golf Expo held on October 29 was a huge success. Those who dedicated their time and expertise to the event did an exceptional job! Everyone seemed to be having fun and it was a great opportunity to welcome back many who were away all summer.

There were no event winners in October as there were no league events due to the courses being closed for overseeding. We are all looking forward to getting the golf season going again and enjoying the overseeded courses and the refurbished Palms.

Do You Remember? Blanche Williams scored a hole-in-one on December 11, 1992 on Oakwood No. 4.
