P.E.O. is an international philanthropic and educational organization that promotes increased educational opportunities for women through a variety of projects, including scholarships, grants, awards and loans. One of their many projects is the PCE program for Continuing Education. This program awards needs-based grants to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to support themselves and/or their families. P.E.O. Chapter DD of Sun Lakes nominated one candidate for a PCE grant this year.

ASU student and single mother Melissa Leffler was awarded a Continuing Education Grant by P.E.O. International. She anticipates graduating in 2020.

Continuing education can not only be beneficial to you but beneficial to others around you, for example, if you are a teacher, you may want to take some online teacher courses for your personal development, this can help your students with their own learning too.
