P.E.O. Sisterhood gathers for 83rd convention

The delegates from Chapter BF, Chandler, and Chapters CY, DD, DW and EN, Sun Lakes, recently returned from Flagstaff where they attended the Convention of Arizona State Chapter. More than 500 were registered to attend the three day event held at the Little America Hotel beginning May 2. During the convention, delegates and visitors heard updates on the six international and three Arizona philanthropies. Maria Baseggio, President of International Chapter, was in attendance. Jacqueline Dawson, Chapter BL, Scottsdale, was installed as State President for 2014-2015.

The P.E.O. Sisterhood, founded January 21, 1869, at Iowa Wesleyan College, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, is a philanthropic and educational organization interested in bringing to women increased opportunities for higher education. There are approximately 6,000 local chapters in the United States and Canada with nearly a quarter of a million active members. The educational and philanthropic purposes of P.E.O. are accomplished through international, state and local projects. For more information about P.E.O.
