Doesn’t it seem like just a few weeks ago when we were talking about the start of a new year, and here we are already officially welcoming in spring, signaling a time of rebirth and renewal and celebrating the beautiful holiday of Passover.

Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation will be hosting our annual Community Seder on Saturday, April 11, at 5 p.m. at the Palo Verde Country Club in Sun Lakes. The Congregation welcomes and encourages all our neighbors, Jewish or not, to join us on this festive occasion. The cost is $40 for adults, $15 for children ages 5-12, free for children under 5. You have your choice of chicken, brisket, or a vegetarian dish. Advance reservations are a must and can be made by calling Susie at 480-883-7117. For those of you who have attended in the past, you know what a wonderful evening this always is. For those of you who have never been, treat yourself by joining us. Guaranteed, you’ll be hooked and continue coming every year!

While we’re on the subject of Passover, please note that for this month only, Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Services will be held on April 17, the third Friday of the month. The time remains the same, 7 p.m.

On a more somber note, Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation’s April Service will be commemorating the Holocaust. We are deeply honored that Holocaust survivors will be participating in this Service. We hope to see you all on the 17th.
